Academic Credits and Honors

Class Schedule:

7th graders: Math, English, Social Studies, Science, Physical Education, Computer Literacy, and an elective of either Band or General Music and Art.
8th graders: Math, English, America History, Science, Physical Education, Health, and an elective.

Program changes:

Changes in student class schedule will be made only after careful consideration by the counselor.  Changes are made only when necessary for academic success or to accommodate courses taken during summer school.  It is best to remember that even one class change may affect the entire schedule.  Requests for changes must be in writing and signed by a parent and approved by the administration.

Honor Roll:

The Aliamanu Honor Roll is reserved for students who have achieved academic excellence during a quarter.   Students with a grade point average of 3.0 to 3.49 will be on the White Honor Roll and students with a 3.5 to 4.0 average will be on the Blue Honor Roll.  Points are given to each grade in the following way: A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, and F=0

Transfer to New School:

Students who transfer are required to follow the clearance procedure and to return all textbooks and pay for any lost or damaged ones.  Students must work with teachers well in advance to complete all work at least 3 days prior to requesting withdrawal grades. Parents must complete and submit a “Request for Transfer” form to the registrar’s clerk as soon as the last day of attendance is known.  Releases require a minimum of five working days to prepare and are processed in order of receipt.  At the end of the school year, due to the volume of releases, a request must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the student’s last day of school. The final report card with promotion status will be mailed by the end of June.  Releases picked up before this date will not include a final report card. Please provide the registrar with a forwarding address if you are leaving the island before the end of June.

Request to End the School Year Early:

Students who are moving in May and want credit for the year must notify the registrar, their counselor and all teachers in writing, at least 1 month in advance.
